Summer Immersion Program
Great Vow Zen Monastery
Each summer the monastery offers two months of residential training with the usual monthly fee of $500 waived. You may apply for one or both. The sessions run from July 5 to August 4, and August 6 to September 1.
Summer residents are fully involved in daily meditation, shared vegetarian meals, and community activities. They either participate in or staff public retreats and workshops during their tenure. They meet with Dharma Holders and Teachers for private interviews to guide their spiritual practice. Please note that there’s little free time during the program.
